The research, decoding, and mastery of technology for designing and manufacturing heat exchangers opens up the possibility of replacing many imported equipment, enhancing self-reliance for the domestic industry. Sharing with a reporter from Báo Công Thương, Dr. Phan Đăng Phong, Director of the National Research Institute of Mechanical Engineering (NARIME), said that in the operation of hydropower plants, oil and air cooling heat exchangers play the role of equipment maintaining stability for the entire plant.
Presenting a discussion on "the need for specific mechanisms and policies to develop mechanical products with large market capacity in the period 2026-2045", Dr. Phan Dang Phong, Director of the National Research Institute of Mechanical Engineering, stated that forecasts show the domestic market in this period is large enough to create new momentum for the mechanical industry, but it is necessary to select the right focus.
On May 19, Member of the Politburo and Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Phạm Gia Túc, together with Member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Prime Minister Lê Tiến Châu, chaired a working session with the Ministry of Industry and Trade and several other ministries and sectors on the Draft Decree detailing certain articles and measures to organize and guide the implementation of the National Assembly's Resolution No. 253/2025/QH15 on mechanisms and policies for national energy development in the period 2026-2030.
