On the morning of July 15, 2020, at Meeting Room 209, the National Research Institute of Mechanical Engineering organized a Mid-Year Review Conference for the first six months of the year and deployment of tasks for the last six months of 2020.
Attending the Conference were comrades from the Party Committee, Institute Leadership, Heads and Deputy Heads of units, Secretaries of Party cells, the Executive Committee of the Institute's Trade Union, the Secretary of the Youth Union, Heads of divisional trade unions, and the Chairman of the Veterans Association.
Mr. Pham Cong Thanh, Head of the Department of Economics – Science and Technology, presented the report summarizing the work of the first six months and the key tasks for the last six months of 2020 of the Institute.
In the first six months of the year, the Institute maintained good and regular activities of the specialized Science and Technology Council, the Mid-term Evaluation Council, and the grassroots-level Acceptance Councils for State-level and Ministry-level science and technology projects in accordance with the regulations of the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Science and Technology. Regarding economic activities, revenue from signed contracts reached 577 billion VND (equivalent to 159% compared to the same period in 2019) and reached 82.4% of the annual registered target in the "2020 Quality Objectives." The activities of mass organizations and socio-political organizations such as the Trade Union, Youth Union, People's Inspection Board, and Veterans Association, along with emulation movements, were always facilitated by the Institute with favorable conditions, spiritual and material encouragement for these organizations, ensuring practical and effective operations. Regarding training activities, these continue to be carried out well; the Institute organized an Institute-level thesis defense for 01 doctoral candidate and arranged for doctoral candidates to complete 7 modules under the 2020 program.
For the key tasks of the last six months of 2020, the Institute is determined to exceed the work targets set for 2020 and to prepare well for work sources for the following years.
Delegates attending the Conference contributed comments on the summary report for the first six months and the deployment of tasks for the last six months of 2020, proposing solutions for implementing activities in the last six months of the year and subsequent years.
Mr. Phan Dang Phong, Director of the Institute, delivered a speech clarifying the contents of the report, responding to the opinions of the units, and concluding the Conference.
