On the morning of March 5, 2019, the National Research Institute of Mechanical Engineering, in coordination with the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam, organized a training conference on the topic "Risk Management in the Implementation of Foreign Trade Contracts and International Payments" at Meeting Room 209, Institute headquarters, No. 4 Pham Van Dong Street, Mai Dich Ward, Cau Giay District, Hanoi.

Attending the conference: On the Institute's side were Mr. Phan Dang Phong, Director, leaders of Centers and Departments, project principal investigators, and staff involved in import-export and settlement work of the Institute; on the side of the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) were Mr. Trinh Minh Khanh, Deputy Director of BIDV, Hanoi Branch, Mr. Vo Quang Toan, specialist from the Capital and Monetary Business Division of BIDV Headquarters, and gentlemen/ladies who are Heads, Deputy Heads, and specialists of corporate customer and individual customer departments of BIDV Hanoi.

At the conference, attending delegates heard presentations from the bank on the following contents: Forecasts on exchange rate fluctuation trends in the foreign exchange market, products that can be used to hedge exchange rate risks; Risks in international trade activities and methods to control and mitigate risks related to international money transfer and trade finance products; Introduction of some specific products: UPAS LC, counter-guarantees; Introduction of BIDV's retail products.

Following that, there were questions from the attending delegates and answers provided by BIDV.

The Director of the National Research Institute of Mechanical Engineering, Mr. Phan Dang Phong, delivered a speech and concluded the conference.
