Abstract: Speed humps are an active safety measure aimed at limiting vehicle speed, but they also cause negative effects on operators and road users. In order to evaluate the unwanted effects of speed humps, this paper develops a spatial model describing the vibration of sleeper buses. The spatial model more fully reflects the effects of pitch and roll angles of vehicle vibration. The developed model is applied to investigate the effects of different types of speed humps on the ride comfort of sleeper buses. The solution method uses numerical methods with Matlab software to obtain results and evaluations.
