Institute-level Acceptance of Scientific and Technological Tasks in 2021

On April 29, 2022, the Science and Technology Council established under Decision No. 76A/QĐ-NCCK dated April 15, 2022 of the National Research Institute of Mechanical Engineering held a meeting to evaluate and finalize the science and technology tasks for 2021, including:

1. Maintaining administrative and management operations; performing tasks according to the Institute's functions and the requirements of the leaders of the Ministry of Industry and Trade. Code: 116.2021.NVTXCN.BO/HĐKHCN; with Engineer Đinh Xuân Ngọc as task leader;

2. Developing a report evaluating the results of science and technology activities for the period 2020-2021 and proposing the Science and Technology Plan for 2023, with a vision to 2025. Code: 117.2021.NVTXCN.BO/HĐKHCN; with Bachelor Nguyễn Thị Thu Thủy as task leader;

3. Surveying the situation of industrial waste in Vietnam and assessing the potential for constructing waste-to-energy thermal power plants. Code: 118.2021.NVTXCN.BO/HĐKHCN; with Master Nguyễn Trường Quang as task leader;

4. Surveying and assessing the utilization of waste heat from cement rotary kilns in Vietnam. Assessing the potential for constructing waste heat recovery power plants. Code: 119.2021.NVTXCN.BO/HĐKHCN; with Master Phạm Xuân Trường as task leader;

5. Surveying, evaluating and researching hot stamping technology, applying it to manufacture spare parts for thermal power plants, and establishing processing technology procedures for some components: chain pull lugs; conveyor chain plates; gears in the coal supply and slag discharge system. Code: 120.2021.NVTXCN.BO/HĐKHCN; with Dr. Đỗ Đình Lương as task leader;

6. Surveying and assessing the possibility of converting power supply transformers from single-phase rectifier transformers to three-phase or high-frequency transformers in order to improve dust collection efficiency and save auxiliary power consumption of electrostatic precipitators in the cement and coal-fired thermal power industry. Code: 121.2021.NVTXCN.BO/HĐKHCN; with Engineer Nguyễn Đình Sao as task leader.

Vice Director Vũ Văn Khoa - Chairman of the Council, chaired the session for the institutional-level finalization of science and technology tasks for 2021.

On behalf of the task implementation teams, the task leaders presented summary reports to the Evaluation Council: the contents and scientific research results of the tasks that had been carried out.

The review committee members and council members provided comments and assessments on the results of the project implementation and posed questions to the authors.

The Evaluation Council voted to assess the tasks; the result was that all 06 tasks were evaluated by the institutional-level Evaluation Council as meeting requirements.

The Council recommended that task leaders incorporate the opinions, suggestions, and comments of the Council members to revise, supplement, and finalize the projects before the next-level defense.
