Completion and Acceptance of the Independent Experimental Production Project at the State Level

On July 16, 2020, the National Research Institute of Mechanical Engineering held the Self-assessment and Acceptance Council for the independent State-level Pilot Production Project (SXTN) "Completion of design and manufacturing technology, pilot manufacturing of electrostatic precipitator with capacity of 1,000,000 Nm3/h" code 16/2012/HĐ-DAĐL, led by Dr. Duong Van Long as Project Director.

The Project Director presented to the Council the objectives, implementation contents, deployment plan, and achieved results of the Project.

The practical application product of the SXTN Project is the electrostatic precipitator system supplied to the Thai Binh 1 Thermal Power Plant Project, which is operating stably and reliably, meeting all set technical and environmental indicators, and is highly appreciated by the Investor.

Thanks to the success of the SXTN Project, the project implementing agency has successfully bid for the electrostatic precipitator system supplied to the Nghi Son 2 Thermal Power Plant Project, with Doosan (Korea) as the general contractor and the Investors being Marubeni (Japan) and Kepco (Korea). This is a clear testament to the close integration of science and technology activities with economic activities of the National Research Institute of Mechanical Engineering.

On behalf of the Council, the Chairman of the Acceptance Council – Dr. Phan Dang Phong highly appreciated the Project results and recommended that the Project implementation team continue to monitor, refine the design and technology to successfully apply to many electrostatic precipitator projects in the coming time.
