Abstract: This paper presents the results of experimental research and mathematical modeling to establish the relationship between three process parameters of electroslag pressure welding – welding current, welding time, and welding pressure in one welding cycle – and their effects on the tensile strength, geometric dimensions, and material microstructure of butt joints of construction steel reinforcement bars, using a 3-level 3-factor orthogonal experimental design (N27). The obtained mathematical model serves as a basis for determining the appropriate control range of the welding parameters to ensure the working performance required for load-bearing structures in construction works.
