Abstract: This paper presents the results of experimental research to determine the reasonable survey domain of some electroslag welding process parameters – Application to tensile strength and macrostructure characteristics of butt welds in construction rebar. The research results provide a scientific basis for establishing an experimental condition matrix using an orthogonal design with 3 levels and 3 factors (N27). Accordingly, by applying experimental mathematical statistics processing methods, it is possible to calculate and develop a mathematical model representing that relationship in the total interaction of input factors including welding current, welding time, and welding pressure.
