Abstract: This paper presents the research on manufacturing an open power flow test bench equipped with an IVECO 81kW diesel drive engine and an MP100S loading mechanism to test the durability of propeller shafts in light truck driveline systems. Experiments varied structural parameters such as the inclination angle of the propeller shaft in the longitudinal plane (a), the length of the propeller shaft (L), and the rotational speed (n) under load conditions corresponding to actual on-road vehicle operation. The experimental results determined the velocity and deformation values of the shaft in the aforementioned cases. Based on these results, reference data can be used for design and manufacturing calculations to ensure sufficient strength of the propeller shaft in automotive applications.
