Abstract: This paper introduces the design and fabrication of a control system for an automatic roller welding machine and presents the research results on synthesizing a three-phase AC motor controller for stable product rotation speed. The control strategy is rotor flux-oriented vector control; in which the speed and current controllers are PI controllers synthesized using the modulus optimum method. The main technical features of the equipment are as follows:

- Automatic positioning, clamping, and self-centering of outer diameter

- Rotation speed adjustable to suit the welding diameter
