On the morning of January 17, 2026, at meeting room P209 of the National Research Institute of Mechanical Engineering headquarters, the Institute organized the Institute-level doctoral thesis defense ceremony for PhD candidate (NCS) Phí Hoàng Trình, currently a lecturer at East Asia University of Technology:

• Thesis title: “Study on the influence of some seat structural parameters on the vibration of seated occupants in vehicles”
• Training discipline: Mechanical Engineering - Code: 9520103
• Scientific supervisors: Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyễn Thanh Quang and Assoc.Prof.Dr. Hoàng Văn Gợt

The doctoral thesis evaluation committee consists of 7 members: Chairman of the Committee is Assoc.Prof.Dr. Lê Thu Quý (National Research Institute of Mechanical Engineering); Secretary of the Committee: Assoc.Prof.Dr. Hà Minh Hùng (National Research Institute of Mechanical Engineering); 3 reviewers: Prof.Dr. Chu Văn Đạt (Military Technical Academy), Assoc.Prof.Dr. Phạm Văn Bạch Ngọc (Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology), Assoc.Prof.Dr. Đào Duy Trung (National Research Institute of Mechanical Engineering); 2 members: Prof.Dr. Vũ Ngọc Pi (Thai Nguyen University of Technology) and Assoc.Prof.Dr. Vũ Văn Tấn (University of Transport and Communications).

Attending the thesis defense ceremony, on behalf of the leadership of the National Research Institute of Mechanical Engineering was Deputy Director Nguyễn Tiến Dũng; on behalf of East Asia University of Technology were Dr. Đinh Văn Thành - Rector, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Thái Thế Hùng - Vice Rector, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyễn Đức Thắng - Vice Rector, in addition, invited guests also included many educators, scientists from inside and outside the Institute, many colleagues, family, and friends of the PhD candidate.

The results of the committee's evaluation: the quality and format of the thesis fully meet the requirements of a doctoral thesis in Mechanical Engineering according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education & Training and the National Research Institute of Mechanical Engineering, 100% of the committee members approved, including 2/7 excellent votes. The results of the thesis have been published in 3 international journal articles/scientific reports and 1 domestic article.

Deputy Director Nguyễn Tiến Dũng presented flowers of congratulations and awarded the Certificate of Successful Thesis Defense to the PhD candidate.
