On the morning of July 4, 2026, at meeting room P209 of the Institute of Mechanical Engineering headquarters, the Institute held the doctoral thesis defense ceremony for PhD candidate Mai Tat Loi, currently a lecturer at Vinh University of Technology and Education:

    The doctoral thesis evaluation committee consists of 7 members: Chairman of the Committee is Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Chi Sang (Institute of Mechanical Engineering); Secretary of the Committee: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dao Duy Trung (Institute of Mechanical Engineering); 3 reviewers: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Huu Phan (Hanoi University of Industry), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Ngoc Tuyen (Hanoi University of Science and Technology), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Van Got (Institute of Mechanical Engineering); 2 members: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Huu Quang (University of Economics and Industrial Engineering) and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Ngoc Hien (University of Transport and Communications).

     

    Attending the thesis defense ceremony, on behalf of the Institute of Mechanical Engineering, was Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Thu Quy - Director of the Training Center; Representing the candidate's workplace, Vinh University of Technology and Education, were Dr. Thai Anh Tuan, Rector of the university, and Dr. Pham Minh Tam, Deputy Head of the Faculty, in charge of the Mechanical Engineering Department. Guests also included many educators and scientists from within and outside the Institute, as well as colleagues, family, and friends of the candidate. The evaluation committee concluded that the quality and format of the dissertation fully met the requirements of a doctoral dissertation in Mechanical Engineering as stipulated by the Ministry of Education and Training and the Institute of Mechanical Engineering Research. 100% of the committee members approved it, with 1/7 votes for "Excellent". The results of the dissertation have been published in 2 Scopus Q2 indexed articles, 2 Scopus Q4 indexed articles, and 2 domestic journal articles.
