On the morning of February 7, 2026, at meeting room P402 of the National Research Institute of Mechanical Engineering headquarters, the Institute held the Institute-level doctoral thesis defense ceremony for PhD candidate Trần Thị Phương Thảo, currently a lecturer at the University of Industrial Technology - Thai Nguyen University:

The doctoral thesis evaluation committee consisted of 7 members: Committee Chairman: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Chỉ Sáng (National Research Institute of Mechanical Engineering); Committee Secretary: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hà Minh Hùng (National Research Institute of Mechanical Engineering); 3 reviewers: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Trương Hoành Sơn (Hanoi University of Science and Technology), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Đỗ Đức Trung (Hanoi University of Industry), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Đào Duy Trung (National Research Institute of Mechanical Engineering); 2 committee members: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Hữu Quang (University of Economics - Industrial Technology) and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lưu Anh Tùng (Thai Nguyen University of Industrial Technology).

Attending the defense ceremony, on behalf of the leadership of the National Research Institute of Mechanical Engineering, there were Director Phan Đăng Phong, Deputy Director Vũ Văn Khoa; from Thai Nguyen University of Industrial Technology, in addition to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lưu Anh Tùng, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, who was a committee member, there was also Mr. Hoàng Trung Kiên, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. Guests also included many educators, scientists from within and outside the Institute, many colleagues, as well as the family and friends of the PhD candidate.

The committee's evaluation results: the quality and format of the thesis fully met the requirements for a doctoral thesis in Mechanical Engineering according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training and the National Research Institute of Mechanical Engineering, with 100% of committee members approving, including 2/7 excellent votes. The results of the thesis have been published in 1 WoS/Scopus Q2 article; 2 Scopus Q2 articles; 1 domestic journal article.
