Abstract: This paper presents the experimental research results determining the influence of electroslag welding parameters – applied to butt welding of construction steel bars with three main technological parameters: welding current intensity, welding time, welding pressure in one welding cycle on tensile strength, microhardness and characteristic properties of the weld material microstructure and the heat-affected zone. From that, recommendations are given on the appropriate control range of the best welding parameters to ensure working performance according to the requirements of load-bearing structures in construction works.
