On the morning of March 3, 2026, the National Research Institute of Mechanical Engineering was honored to receive a delegation from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the Vietnam Industry and Trade Union for a New Year visit and to discuss the implementation of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024, of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation.
Attending the meeting, on the side of the delegation, were Comrade Ngo Duy Hieu – Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; Comrade Le An Hai – President of the Vietnam Industry and Trade Union, along with the delegation.
Receiving the delegation on behalf of the Institute were Comrade Phan Dang Phong – Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of the Institute; the Deputy Directors; Comrade Doan Van Minh – President of the Institute's Trade Union, along with key staff members.
At the meeting, Comrade Phan Dang Phong reported on the implementation of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024, of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation. The year 2025 was a breakthrough year for the Institute, with revenue reaching an impressive figure of over 3,600 billion VND, affirming its position as a leading research unit in the field of mechanical engineering and automation.
Regarding trade union activities, Comrade Doan Van Minh reported: The working and living conditions of staff and union members have always been ensured and are increasingly improving. The Institute's Trade Union Executive Committee has effectively fulfilled its role in protecting workers' rights and has been rated by higher authorities as having completed its tasks excellently.
In his concluding remarks, Comrade Ngo Duy Hieu acknowledged and commended the outstanding efforts of the Institute's leadership and staff. He emphasized: "The Institute needs to continue promoting the spirit of Resolution 57, bringing innovation into production practice, and delivering tangible benefits to the unit, its trade union members, and the nation's overall development."
The meeting took place in an uplifting atmosphere, creating a vibrant competitive spirit for all officials and employees of the Institute right from the early days of spring.
