Tóm tắt bài báo: In this study, SiC-50Cu composite coating was deposited on steel substrate by plasma spraying technology in argon gas. The plasma spraying parameters were (I) 50SiC: 50Cu powder feedstock, (ii) powder feed rate 40 g/min, (iii) air spray rate 200 L/min, (iv) plasma current 400 A, (v) spray distance 50 mm. After plasma spraying, the composite coating was characterized by various techniques. The composite coating had an adhesion strength of 36 MPa, porosity of 1.29%, hardness of 307 HV, and SiC phase content of 65%. Corrosion test in a mixed chamber was used to evaluate the performance of SiC-50Cu coating for corrosion protection of industrial impellers and pump chambers in corrosive environments containing fluorine.
