National Research Institute of Mechanical Engineering completes restoration of the remaining two turbine shaft supports T6 and T7 for Mong Duong Thermal Power Plant.

On October 5, 2017, the National Research Institute of Mechanical Engineering completed the restoration of two turbine shaft supports T6 and T7 with a capacity of 620 MW and a rotational speed of 3000 rpm for the Mong Duong Thermal Power Plant. These are the two remaining supports out of three that the Institute restored and handed over to the Mong Duong Thermal Power Plant; the T5 turbine shaft support was restored and handed over on September 5, 2017.

The completion of the turbine shaft supports for the thermal power plant is the result of a ministerial-level scientific and technological research project in 2012, titled: "Research on restoring high-pressure turbine bearings for thermal power plants using Babbitt material."
