On the morning of March 6, 2023, at Meeting Room 209, the National Research Institute of Mechanical Engineering (NARIME) held a working session with the Italian Trade Agency (led by Mr. Fabio De Cillis - Italian Trade Commissioner in Vietnam) and UCIMU (led by Ms. Barbara Colombo – President of UCIMU Association, heading a delegation of 12 member companies of UCIMU).

At the meeting, both sides introduced their professional capabilities, fields of operation, production, and business activities, as well as their products in order to seek cooperation opportunities between the two sides in the coming time.

Particularly, in the field of machine tools, Italy is the fourth largest machine tool producer in the world; it also holds a leading position as a top exporter and consumer in 2021. These excellent results are attributable to the innovative and competitive solutions provided by UCIMU members, which are highly appreciated by users worldwide.

During the meeting, UCIMU member companies shared their objectives, strategies, and strengthening their presence in the Vietnamese market as well as the ASEAN region, in order to bring cooperation opportunities for all parties.

Mr. Fabio De Cillis and Ms. Barbara Colombo highly appreciated the reception by NARIME and expressed their desire for many cooperation opportunities with the Institute and Vietnamese enterprises in the coming time.
