From November 27 to 30, a delegation of the Vietnam Fund for Technical Innovation Support (VIFOTEC) participated in the International Exhibition on Science and Technology (SIIF 2024) in Korea. The delegation was led by Secretary General of the Vietnam Union of Associations Nguyen Quyet Chien.

This is the largest-scale exhibition on Science and Technology, jointly organized by the Korea Invention Promotion Association (KIPA), the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO), the Intellectual Property Organization World (WIPO) together with the Ministry of Science, Ministry of Trade, Federation of Industries, Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Small and Medium Business Federation, International Trade Association, Women Inventors Association, Patent Attorneys Association… of Korea.

SIIF is the world's largest invention exhibition, where inventors showcase new ideas and patented products to investors, receive comprehensive information from leading lawyers and experts in intellectual property on commercialization of inventions, and get advice on international patent granting procedures and technology transfer, thereby opening many opportunities for inventors to commercialize their works.

At the Exhibition, the Vietnamese delegation introduced 6 outstanding works participating, covering the fields: mechanical automation, Educational Technology, material technology, and agriculture-forestry-fishery.

The award-winning works of Vietnam were highly appreciated by the jury for their applicability and commercialization potential. Among them, there were 1 Grand Prize, 3 Gold Medals, 2 Silver Medals, and special international awards from international organizations from Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Malaysia.

4. Dr. Ngo Xuan Cuong, MSc. Nguyen Anh Dung, MSc. Le Van Duyen, Department of Welding & Surface Treatment – National Research Institute of Mechanical Engineering, Department of Weapons & Equipment/Institute of Military Ship Design, General Department of Defense Industry - Design and manufacture of automatic dual-tip welding equipment with stepless centering for producing multi-size rollers - Gold Medal - Special Prize from Digital Ocean - Saudi Arabia - Special Prize from Citizen Innovation - Singapore.
