Abstract: This paper presents the results of research on applying Ni/nano-Al2O3 composite coating onto the surface of the generator journal of a hydropower plant by the brush plating method, aiming to restore the original diameter dimensions and meet the technical requirements of worn-out journals. Building on our group's previous studies on brush plating, based on the application of research results on the effect of voltage on the coating formation rate, two generator journals with a diameter of 300-0.02 mm were restored to the size of 300+0.03 mm, with a nanocomposite brush-plated coating having hardness compatible with the base material.
