On November 24, 2017, at the hall of the Key Laboratory of Welding Technology and Surface Treatment, the National Research Institute of Mechanical Engineering solemnly organized the 30th Trade Union Congress of the National Research Institute of Mechanical Engineering for the 2017 – 2022 term.

Attending the Congress, on behalf of the Vietnam Trade Union of Industry and Trade, were Comrade Ta Thi Van Anh – Vice President of the Vietnam Trade Union of Industry and Trade, Comrade Nguyen Thu Trang – Deputy Head of the Legal Policy Department of the Vietnam Trade Union of Industry and Trade, Comrade Vu Thanh Thai – Deputy Head of the Organization Department of the Vietnam Trade Union of Industry and Trade; on behalf of the National Research Institute of Mechanical Engineering were Comrade Phan Dang Phong – Deputy Secretary of the Institute Party Committee, Deputy Director, Comrade Nguyen Hai Ha, Deputy Director, Comrade Vu Van Khoa, Deputy Director, Comrade Duong Trong Dong – Chairman of the Institute Trade Union for the 29th term, members of the Party Committee Executive Board, the Trade Union, the Youth Union Secretary, the Veterans Association, the Women's Association, leaders of Departments and Professional Centers, and the full presence of over 100 delegates representing the trade unions of various units under the Institute.

At the Congress, delegates heard the report on Trade Union activities, the self-examination of the Institute Trade Union Executive Board of the 29th term, and the direction and tasks for the Executive Board of the 30th term. Following that were contributions from the trade unions of units under the Institute. The Congress also heard speeches by Comrade Phan Dang Phong, Deputy Secretary of the Institute Party Committee, Deputy Director, and Comrade Ta Thi Van Anh, Vice President of the Vietnam Trade Union of Industry and Trade, who directed the Congress and provided very practical contributions to building the Institute Trade Union for sustainable development.

Also during the ceremony, delegates proceeded to vote to elect the 30th Trade Union Executive Board consisting of 7 comrades who met the standards, quantity, and structure according to the personnel plan proposed by the 29th Trade Union Executive Board and unanimously approved by the Congress.

During the ceremony, the Institute Trade Union was honored to receive the Emulation Flag from the Vietnam Trade Union of Industry and Trade for achievements in the emulation movement for excellent labor and building a strong trade union organization for the 2012 – 2017 term, along with Certificates of Merit from the Executive Board of the Vietnam Trade Union of Industry and Trade for 03 individuals.

At the end of the ceremony, the Congress voted to adopt the resolution with a 100% approval rate.

The 30th Trade Union Congress of the National Research Institute of Mechanical Engineering for the 2017 – 2012 term was concluded and ended successfully.
