On the morning of July 27, 2018, the National Research Institute of Mechanical Engineering held a meeting to commemorate the 71st anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day (July 27, 1947 – July 27, 2018).

Attending were comrades representing the Party Committee, the Institute's leadership, heads of units and departments, trade union organization, women's association, veterans association, the Institute's Youth Union, and officials and employees currently serving who are war invalids or relatives of war invalids and martyrs.

On behalf of the Institute's Leadership, Mr. Nguyen Hai Ha, Vice Director, reviewed the 71-year history of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day; the gratitude activities of the Party, the State, and the people towards comrades who are war invalids and martyrs, and families with meritorious services in the struggles for national independence, liberation, and defense of the Fatherland.

The comrades who are war invalids, and the officials and employees who are relatives of war invalids and martyrs' families, expressed their gratitude for the attention of the Party Committee, the Institute's leadership, and mass organizations within the Institute; they also shared their feelings, thoughts, and aspirations.

The comrades who are war invalids together recalled the glorious memories of combat when they participated in the resistance against the Americans and against the Chinese invasion.

On this occasion, the Institute's Leadership and mass organizations presented gifts and wished good health to the comrades who are war invalids and the officials who are relatives of war invalids and martyrs' families.

The meeting commemorating the 71st anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day took place in a warm and meaningful atmosphere. This is an annual ceremony organized by the Institute on July 27.
