On the morning of January 12, 2017, the Conference of Civil Servants and Employees of the National Research Institute of Mechanical Engineering for the 2017–2018 term was solemnly held.

Attending the Conference were Comrade Nguyen Chi Sang, Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of the Institute; Comrade Phan Dang Phong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Deputy Director of the Institute; Comrade Nguyen Hai Ha, Deputy Director of the Institute; Comrade Vu Van Khoa, Deputy Director of the Institute; leaders of units and functional departments, and all civil servants and employees of the Institute.

The Conference reviewed, summarized, and discussed the Institute's activities in 2017 and the work directions for 2018.

Comrade Pham Van Hung, on behalf of the People's Inspection Board, presented the summary report on activities in 2017 and the work directions for 2018.

Results of the emulation movement in 2017: The Institute fulfilled all targets set for 2017, with 15 out of 19 collectives achieving the title of Excellent Unit, 4 out of 19 collectives achieving the title of Advanced Unit, 50 individuals receiving the title of Grassroots Emulation Fighter, and 191 individuals receiving the title of Advanced Laborer.

The Conference adopted a Resolution with specific targets for 2018, aiming to meet or exceed those of 2017.
