On the morning of January 10, 2019, the Conference of Officials and Employees of the National Research Institute of Mechanical Engineering for the period 2019–2020 was solemnly held.

Attendees included Mr. Phan Đăng Phong, Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of the Institute; Mr. Vũ Văn Khoa, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Deputy Director; Mr. Nguyễn Hải Hà, Deputy Director; Mr. Phan Thạch Hổ, former Secretary and former Deputy Director; comrades who are leaders of units and functional departments, and all officials, employees, and workers of the Institute.

Mr. Nguyễn Hải Hà, on behalf of the Institute's leadership, presented the Summary Report on the 2019 work and the work directions for 2020.

Delegates attending the conference delivered discussion remarks, contributed to the Summary Report on the 2019 work and the work directions for 2020 of the Institute, and shared experiences, difficulties, and advantages in the work of their units that have been and are implementing projects.

Mr. Phạm Văn Hùng, on behalf of the People's Inspection Committee, reported the summary of 2019 work and the work directions for 2020.

Mr. Phan Đăng Phong, Director of the Institute, delivered a speech responding to the discussion remarks and summarizing the conference.

As a result of the emulation movement in 2019, the Institute had 16 out of 20 collectives achieving the title of Outstanding Unit, 3 out of 19 collectives achieving the title of Advanced Unit, 52 individuals achieving the title of Grassroots Emulation Fighter, and 266 individuals achieving the title of Advanced Worker.

The conference adopted a Resolution with specific targets for 2020 to be achieved and higher than those in 2019.
