On January 11, 2018, in an atmosphere of excitement and emulation to celebrate the New Year 2018, the Party Committee of the National Research Institute of Mechanical Engineering held a plenary conference to summarize the work of 2017 and deploy the tasks of the Party Committee for 2018.

Attending the conference were Comrade Nguyen Chi Sang, Secretary of the Party Committee and Institute Director; Comrade Phan Dang Phong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Deputy Institute Director; Comrade Vu Van Khoa, Deputy Institute Director; comrades in the Institute's Party Committee, all party members under the Party Committee, and guests.

The conference heard the report summarizing Party work in 2017 and the direction for 2018; analyzed the results achieved, shortcomings, causes, and lessons learned in the leadership work of the Party Committee in 2017; analyzed difficulties and advantages and proposed leadership solutions for the Party Committee in 2018.

Summarizing the work of 2017, the Institute's Party Committee achieved the title of "Typical Clean and Strong Grassroots Party Organization" of the Party Committee of the Hanoi Industrial Sector; the Institute's Party Committee had 11 party cells meeting the standard of "Clean and Strong" and 23 party members meeting the standard of "Excellent Task Completion".

The conference adopted a Resolution with targets for 2018 to meet and exceed those of 2017.
