Abstract: Boilers in a coal-fired thermal power plant generate thermal energy and ash by-products (including fly ash and bottom slag). Fly ash is collected by dust hoppers along the plant's flue gas path. The ash is then transported to the fly ash silo via pipelines. For the ash transport pipeline to operate stably, many parameters need to be accurately evaluated. The National Research Institute of Mechanical Engineering (NARIME) has calculated, designed, and supplied the fly ash transport pipeline system (including 04 pipelines for 02 boilers) for the Thai Binh 1 coal-fired thermal power plant. The system has an ash transport capacity for each pipeline of up to 26 t/h. Currently, the system is operating well and is highly appreciated by the investor.
