On the afternoon of July 27, 2020, the National Research Institute of Mechanical Engineering organized a meeting ceremony to commemorate the 73rd anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day (July 27, 1947 – July 27, 2020).
Attending the ceremony were Comrade Phan Đăng Phong, Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of the Institute; Comrade Vũ Văn Khoa, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice Director of the Institute; members of the Party Committee and the Institute's Trade Union; along with representatives of leaders from units, departments, trade union organizations, women's organizations, the veterans' association, the youth union, and all staff members and employees who are war invalids or relatives of war invalids and martyrs.
The conference was honored to welcome a delegation from the Vietnam Industry and Trade Union, led by Comrade Trần Quang Huy, member of the Party Affairs Committee of the Industry and Trade Party Committee, member of the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, and Chairman of the Vietnam Industry and Trade Union, who came to visit and present gifts to staff and employees from policy beneficiary families within the Institute.
On behalf of the Party Committee and the Institute's Leadership, Comrade Phan Đăng Phong, Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of the Institute, delivered a speech, reviewing the history of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day; the activities of the Party, the State, and the Institute to commemorate and express gratitude for the dedication and sacrifice of heroic martyrs, war invalids, and meritorious families in the struggle for national independence, liberation, and defense of the Fatherland.
On behalf of the delegation from the Vietnam Industry and Trade Union, Comrade Trần Quang Huy spoke, inquiring about the health, employment, and income of staff and employees who are war invalids or relatives of policy beneficiary families currently working. He highly appreciated the activities of the Institute and its mass organizations towards workers in general and workers belonging to policy beneficiary groups in particular, especially on the occasion of the 73rd anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day this year.
Comrade Trần Quang Huy, Comrade Phan Đăng Phong, and the leaders of mass organizations presented meaningful gifts to staff and employees belonging to policy beneficiary groups.
The comrades who are war invalids and staff members who are relatives of war invalids and martyrs expressed their gratitude for the attention from the leadership of the Vietnam Industry and Trade Union, the Party Committee, the Institute's Leadership, and the mass organizations within the Institute, while also sharing their feelings, thoughts, and aspirations.
The ceremony of the National Research Institute of Mechanical Engineering commemorating the 73rd anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day this year took place in a solemn and meaningful atmosphere. This is an annual conference organized by the Institute.
