On the morning of August 8, 2024, the National Research Institute of Mechanical Engineering solemnly held a ceremony to award Doctorate (PhD) degrees and issue decisions recognizing Research Students (PhD candidates) for the first batch of 2024.

Attending the ceremony were: Deputy Director Dr. Vu Van Khoa, who chaired the ceremony, Deputy Director Phan Huu Thang, Deputy Director Nguyen Tien Dung; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Thu Quy, Director of the Training Center; leaders of functional departments; educators, scientists, new PhDs, and new Research Students.

Invited guests included: Prof. Dr. Vu Ngoc Pi, Vice Rector of Thai Nguyen University of Technology; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Hong Ky, Vice Rector of Vinh Long University of Technology Education; and several educators involved in doctoral training at the Institute from Hanoi University of Science and Technology, University of Transport and Communications, Hanoi University of Industry; as well as families, friends, and colleagues of the new PhDs and Research Students.

Currently, the Institute manages 20 Research Students; since the beginning of 2024, 5 Research Students have successfully defended and completed their doctoral dissertations, receiving recognition and award of doctoral degrees.

Deputy Director Dr. Vu Van Khoa, on behalf of the Institute's leadership, awarded doctoral degrees and presented flowers to congratulate the new PhDs.

New PhD Ngo Trong Binh, representing the new PhDs, gave a speech expressing gratitude and appreciation to the National Research Institute of Mechanical Engineering, the educators, colleagues, and his family for their constant support and assistance throughout his studies, research, and successful dissertation defense.

Next, Dr. Vu Van Khoa presented Decision No. 106/QĐ-NCCK signed on July 25, 2024 by the Director of the National Research Institute of Mechanical Engineering on recognizing Research Students for the 2024 intake (batch 1) to 5 new Research Students.

New Research Student Pham Thanh Cuong, representing the new batch 1 Research Students, spoke and expressed their determination to complete their dissertations with quality and in compliance with the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training as well as the Institute.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dao Duy Trung, speaking on behalf of the scientific supervisors, recalled a memory of the supervision process for the Research Students and analyzed the challenges and difficulties in the process of studying and conducting scientific research to complete the dissertations.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Director Vu Van Khoa congratulated the new PhDs and new Research Students, congratulated the Training Center, and provided some guiding opinions and suggestions for doctoral training at the Institute in the coming period.
