The Electrical Division of the National Research Institute of Mechanical Engineering was established in the early years of the Institute's founding. Its primary function is to carry out tasks related to the control and automation of equipment and machinery for projects that the Institute researches and develops, such as machine tools, agricultural implements, scientific and technological research topics, as well as economic contracts. To date, our products have been trusted and used by investors, consulting units, and major domestic and international contractors in most key projects, large-scale works, and those with high technical requirements. Our products cover the following fields:

– Energy – Hydropower sector: This is a traditional field of the Institute, with 16 hydropower and irrigation projects such as A Vuong, Se San 4, Dong Nai 3,4,5, Buon Kuop, Thac Mo Expansion, Da Nhim Expansion, Hoa Binh… especially the two largest hydropower projects in Vietnam: Son La and Lai Chau hydropower plants. We provide local control panels, central control panels, and distribution panels for hydro-mechanical equipment. In addition, we supply control panel systems for lifting equipment such as overhead cranes at intake gates, spillways, and machine halls with lifting capacities of up to 300 tons. These devices all use modern technology such as inverter control, PLCs, and equipment imported from G7 countries.

– Energy – Thermal power sector: We have supplied completely new control systems for electrostatic precipitator (ESP) systems at Vung Ang 1 Thermal Power Plant (2x600MW capacity), the ash handling system (ASH) at Thai Binh 1 Thermal Power Plant (2x300MW capacity), and the coal feeding control system at Song Hau 1 Thermal Power Plant (2x600MW capacity). These devices include: transformers, main distribution panels, AC and DC distribution panels, MCC panels, PLC panels, lighting panels, etc. We also collaborate and form joint ventures with foreign partners such as MHI-MS (Japan), Kodol Eco (Russia), MARUBENI (USA)… to supply certain equipment for auxiliary systems in thermal power plants. Additionally, we replace electrical panels and improve the efficiency of production lines for several operating thermal power plants such as Pha Lai, Cam Pha, Uong Bi, and Ninh Binh.

– Cement sector: Upgrading control systems from Siemens PLC S5 to PLC S7 for Clinker cement export lines, such as the Nghi Son – Hiep Phuoc bulk cement export station with a capacity of 300 t/h. Installing new bulk cement export stations such as Nghi Son – Nha Trang with a capacity of 400 t/h. Control systems for vibrating screens, crushers, bagging machines, conveyors… have also been supplied to cement plants such as Bim Son, But Son, Hoang Long, Yen Son….

– Mineral processing and metallurgy sector: Electrical control equipment for conveyor systems and ore screening at the Nhan Co, Tan Rai, and Nui Phao Bauxite projects…

– Other sectors: We regularly supply processing machines to companies manufacturing auxiliary equipment for motorcycles and automobiles, such as VAP Company, COSHI Company, NISSIN Company… These machines include deburring machines, wheel rim leak testers, exhaust pipe welders, wheel washers, etc.
