Abstract: With the goal of gradually mastering the technology and moving towards full localization of equipment in coal-fired thermal power plants, the National Research Institute of Mechanical Engineering (NARIME) was assigned by the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) and the Ministry of Industry and Trade to lead the implementation of the state-level project "Research, design, manufacture, assembly, and commissioning of coal handling and conveying systems for coal-fired thermal power plants with unit capacity up to approximately 600 MW". Under the direction of the two ministries and with the efforts of scientists, NARIME successfully designed, manufactured, and put into operation the coal handling and conveying systems for thermal power plants, affirming the determination and creativity of Vietnamese scientists in mastering the technology for designing and manufacturing equipment systems for coal-fired thermal power plants.
