Abstract: With the goal of gradually mastering technology and moving toward complete localization of equipment in coal-fired thermal power plants, the National Research Institute of Mechanical Engineering (NARIME) was assigned by the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) and the Ministry of Industry and Trade to lead the implementation of the state-level project “Research, design, manufacture, assembly, and commissioning of coal handling and conveying systems for coal-fired thermal power plants with unit capacities up to approximately 600 MW.” Under the direction of the two ministries and with the efforts of scientists, NARIME has successfully designed, manufactured, and put into operation coal handling and conveying systems for thermal power plants, affirming the will and creativity of Vietnamese scientists in mastering the technology for designing and manufacturing equipment systems for coal-fired thermal power plants.
