On October 11, 2024, a delegation of the National Research Institute of Mechanical Engineering, represented by Comrade Nguyễn Tiến Dũng, Party Committee Member, Deputy Director, and Comrade Đoàn Văn Minh, Party Committee Member, Chairman of the Institute's Trade Union, arrived at Kang Kỷ campus, Suối Giàng Kindergarten, address: Kang Kỷ hamlet, Suối Giàng commune, Văn Chấn district, Yên Bái province to inaugurate and present gifts.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Comrade Mùa A Giàng, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Suối Giàng commune; Comrade Mùa A Hải, Secretary of Kang Kỷ hamlet; and Teacher Lò Ngọc Loan, Principal of the school, together with the Institute's delegation.
Teacher Lò Ngọc Loan stated that Kang Kỷ campus is a semi-boarding ethnic minority school facing difficult conditions in Yên Bái province. The campus had recently been relocated to a new site due to landslides at the old location. The school has 4 classrooms: 1 solid classroom, and the remaining ones are semi-solid, built with steel columns and separated by plastic walls. Due to poor facilities, the classrooms are very hot in summer and cold in winter; whenever it rains, water floods into the classrooms. Kang Kỷ campus has 63 students, all ethnic minorities of the H'Mông community. The gifts from the National Research Institute of Mechanical Engineering are a timely and much-needed source of encouragement and support at present, helping the campus improve education quality and assist semi-boarding students in their daily life and studies.
This is one of the sharing activities of the National Research Institute of Mechanical Engineering in response to the call of General Secretary and President Tô Lâm, the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour, and the Vietnam Industry and Trade Union to support fellow citizens in overcoming damage caused by Typhoon Yagi (Storm No. 3). Accordingly, the total amount raised through donations from the Institute's officials, employees, and workers was partly transferred to the accounts of the Industry and Trade Union and the Fatherland Front for consolidation, while the remaining amount was used for the aforementioned charity program.
