NARIME is a leading unit in the design and manufacture of hydraulic mechanical equipment for 24 domestic and international hydropower projects with capacities ranging from 120 to 2400 MW, as well as in the design, upgrade, and integration of electrical and control systems for hydropower plants. NARIME has received technology from Zaporozhye Hydropower Station Company of Ukraine to master the design and manufacturing technology of hydraulic mechanical equipment. To date, NARIME has fully mastered the design work, and together with domestic mechanical enterprises, has manufactured and supplied equipment for dozens of large hydropower projects in Vietnam and in the neighboring country of Laos. Hydropower projects implemented by the Institute are located throughout the country and also in the Lao People's Democratic Republic. Notable hydropower projects include: Son La Hydropower Plant with a capacity of 2400 MW, Lai Chau Hydropower Plant with a capacity of 1200 MW, Se San 4 Hydropower Plant with a capacity of 390 MW, Buon Kuop Hydropower Plant with a capacity of 280 MW, Dong Nai 3 and 4 Hydropower Plants with a capacity of 220 MW, A Vuong Hydropower Plant with a capacity of 170 MW, etc...
